Five SIMPLE MLM Lead Generation & Prospecting Techniques

Modern Lead Generation techniques in the Network Marketing space have gone from bad-to-worse, with practitioners unable to close even above the fifty percent mark with an investment of 100% of their time! Prospecting is difficult in any sales-oriented activity, and Network Marketing is no exception. However, the difficulty lay in prevailing lead generation methodologies. Especially someone running up on you before the coffee breath even has a chance to set in with an unrequested headache in the form of a badly-delivered, hastily-stammered, "Close-or-Die" attitude that's just too on-fire for the average J.O.B. bus-and-cubicle hostage. Chasing down prospects willy-nilly outside coffee shops, on crowded public transports, in front of sporting or musical events...mostly anywhere that the target market needed to sustain Network Marketing program ISN'T.

1) Locate RELEVANT Marketing Targets
Your ideal prospect should (in theory) be a fit for the direct sale item designed to get them to want to invest and join up for. Your approach is going to need to be as reflexive and reactive to possible permutations of objection that could occur. Since the Prospect will always only think of their own Pain & Discomfort, craft your pitch so that your offer stands out in the prospects' mind over any other one they may have seen. Don't be afraid to ratchet up the language of the pitch by identifying the degrees and nuances that that Pain & Discomfort manifest themselves at. Exactly WHO will be a good fit for your product should be one of the first things ascertained BEFORE crafting the pitch.

2) Utilize Market- and Customer-Friendly Resourcing
Whether a particular MLM company provides it or not you'll need to have a website locale or a domain on which you can host responsively-designed web pages. If you aren't accorded this particular resource, you can always establish a Blogger- or WordPress-based "Lead Capture Page"-template type site. Naturally, you'll also need to employ an autoresponder service (AWeber and Mailchimp come to mind) to communicate frequently with (and stay uppermost in the minds of) your prospects. With this item in place, you can concentrate on solidifying your marketing message and offers.

3) Delineate Realistic Project Goals
No winner in any arena ever did so without a plan; whether battle-hardened military generals or field-tested multimillion-dollar producing copywriters, both parties have tried-and-true techniques allowing them the ability to, "run away to live to fight another day". Your plan is only as good as the sum of its' parts, so do your homework before bring untested methods on the battlefield with you.

4) Subtract Your Friends And Family From Prospect Lists
Most times, Family and Friends are the bulwark against which any Life-storm breaks upon, regarding them as potential prospects will have everyone you know looking as nervous as Bill Collectors at a Bankruptcy Convention when you slide up to functions and gatherings. While it's advisable to seek advice from your 'Circle-of-Influence', it can be an incredible disaster 99% of the time. And ESPECIALLY, if no one believes in what you're doing like you are. Get out of your comfort zone and approach/prospect for those in your field, or niche-adjacent.

5) DON'T Be Afraid To Ask For That Referral!
Instead of pestering Friends and Family to join your opportunity, inquire as to whether they know of individuals like yourself, "trying to make money online", or others having proclaimed similar, related interests. These prospects are effectively made "warm leads" because there is a recommendation and degrees of relationship that can be leveraged to get to the sale closer conversation more quickly than if it were just another 'cold call'. Those who know and/or like you won't have any problems providing breadcrumbs for you so you won't have any problems creating a go-to list of qualified leads for you to immediately prospect.
